The National Vocational and Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC) has launched a comprehensive survey titled “Bridging the Skills Gap: A Sectoral Skill Mapping through Trade Associations in Pakistan.” The survey, conducted by its Regional Offices nationwide, aims to identify current and future skill needs and gaps across various sectors in Pakistan.
The primary objective is to realign existing training curricula with industry demands and develop new training programs to address emerging skill requirements over the medium term (the next five years). As the team lead for this survey, I recently presented the key findings for the Manufacturing and Textile sector during the TVET Coordination Committee meeting, organized by NAVTTC on December 9, 2024.
